Blog Entry #1 Blogs about Blogs !
Everyone has their own opinions on blogs but for me I personally like them. Blogs can come in all sorts of ways and that is what makes me like them. People can have blogs about cooking, learning, and even just their lives. Blogs can be amusing and even educational. Three blogs I read were cupcakesandcashmere.com, thestripe.com, and rachelparcell.com.
The first blog I read was very put together and organized. Some of the posts were more personal and others were about delicious meals to make. The only thing I could say bad about this blog is that it is definitely for someone with a lot of extra time. I do not have this extra time so even though I saw millions of things I wanted to try I will probably never get around to it.
The second blog I read was almost identical to the first one, but I felt a different vibe from this blog. This blog account was very laid back and gave a lot of beauty standpoints or clothing options. The blog account thestripe.com felt as if it was written by a person closer to my age around 20 years old. I enjoyed reading this page, but the first Blog account still has to be my favorite!
The third blogger I read was Rachel Parcell. All three blogs felt the same and I think this is why I picked them.
All three of these blogs felt very professional. There were some points where they became more personal but other than that everything had a professional tone. The author's purpose of all of the blogs was to share their life secrets. The recipes, the clothing, and the holiday DIYs were all a part of their lives.
I also like blogs that have a more professional tone but you can tell that the author is extremely passionate about what they are writing about. I also find that blogs that focus on one overarching topic nice because it attracts a specific, but ideal audience.
ReplyDeleteHi Amelia,
ReplyDeleteI noticed that the majority of blogs I found online seemed very professional. The casual/professional writing style we went over must be the most common, as I didn't come across any that sounded solely personal and the only ones that were strictly professional I saw were academic related for physics/chemistry that I already follow.
